We are currently accepting new patients and we are welcoming patients with Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) coverage! We accept a variety of payment options, such as cash, card, and insurance coverages.

Dr. Lalaine Lao
Speaks tagalog, English, FOOkien, and Mandarin
Dr. Lalaine Lao earned her dentistry degree from the University of the Philippines. Within the same year of graduation, she scored 1st place in the National Dental Board exam, garnering the highest score in the licensure examination. She migrated to Canada in 1993, successfully completed the National Dental Examining Board of Canada (NDEB) exam in 1996, and has been practising in Surrey ever since.
Since opening her clinic, Dr. Lao continues to prioritize an enjoyable, comfortable, and efficient experience for patients of all ages, without compromising patient needs. With her friendly and welcoming nature, and her light-handed approach, Dr. Lao builds a relationship with, and works with the patient to meet their needs to deliver personalized treatment.
Dr. Lalaine Lao is committed to continuous learning and professional development. She regularly studies various courses and participates in study clubs to stay up-to-date with the latest in dental care—allowing her to provide the best treatment to her patients. She is also an active member in good standing with the Canadian Dental Association (CDA) and the British Columbia Dental Association (BCDA).
Outside of work, she enjoys looking at and tending to her plants, especially her succulents.

Dr. Jensen Wong
Speaks English and Cantonese
Born in Toronto, grew up in Vancouver, returned to Toronto for school and work, and now in Vancouver again, Dr. Jensen Wong’s life has been a tale of two cities. Dr. Wong graduated from The University of Toronto’s Faculty of Dentistry with his Doctor in Dental Surgery (DDS) in 2010. He spent the ensuing three years 2011 to 2014 working full time for Toronto Public Health, where he provided dental treatment for low income families, with predominantly paediatric patients. There, he gained valuable experience providing non-sedation dental treatment to children from newborn through adolescence, including methods to manage mildly uncooperative children, and in providing dental health education to families.
Since then, Dr. Wong moved to British Columbia and shifted from public health dentistry to private practice. Dr. Wong has been a member of Dr. Lalaine Lao’s dental clinic since 2016. He excels in and always looks forward to educating patients on their oral hygiene. Dr. Wong is also a clinical instructor at The University of British Columbia’s Faculty of Dentistry, sharing his experience with future dentists. Dr. Wong looks forward to your next dental visit — your teeth will thank you for it!

Dr. Wong believes a lifetime of good oral health begins from in utero (before birth), with dental appointments for expectant parents. Pregnant women are strongly encouraged to have dental appointments during their pregnancy because hormonal changes often lead to unhealthy bleeding gums, and dental infections may affect maternal health and consequently affect the health of the developing fetus.
After a baby is born, the most important oral health providers are the parents and caregivers — so parents need to maintain their own oral hygiene and help with the infant’s oral health. The American Academy of Paediatric Dentistry recommends first dental appointment at one year old. Unfortunately, some children present to the dentist for the first time at an older age, already with many cavities — Dr. Wong will do his best to work with the parents to help restore these teeth or maintain these teeth until they are ready to change to adult teeth.
For adults, the concern is not only cavities, but also gum disease (periodontitis). Dr. Wong helps patients manage their gum disease by providing deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) every 3 to 6 months depending on the severity of periodontal disease. Dr. Wong’s goal for everybody is “No new cavities and well-controlled gum disease” with the patient being the principal partner in their own oral health care. Remember, no pain doesn’t mean no problem… and pain is often too late.

Dr. Muzammil Munshi
Speaks Hindi, English, Gujarati, Urdu, and can understand Punjabi
Dr. Muzammil Munshi earned a Bachelors of Dental Surgery with Honours from Gujarat University, India in 2009. Focused on comprehensive general dentistry for the entire family, he also provides orthodontic and cosmetic dental care. Outside work, he enjoys going for hikes and being with nature. In 2024, Dr. Muzammil earned his Canadian dental license from the National Dental Examination Board (NDEB).
Dr. Munshi has learned from his many professional experiences, such as an instructor at Dental Studio Gurjarat for over 6 years, and as a dentist at Mega Medical Centre for 7 years. He continued to fine-tune his dental skills by getting familiar with world-class techniques and technologies in Dubai. Dr. Munshi dedicates himself to staying on top of the latest dental procedures and techniques to provide his patients with superb, high-quality dental care—a practice he’s maintained since from university.
